The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by River (that's me) and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1. on the run 2. belong 3. street 4. breakfast 5. tent and this image: taken by "Genius" and allowed by Val . Also Charlotte's colour of the month which is Orient Red for September.
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections. A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please. Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look. Wisewebwoman has also been joining us more often. **Elephant's Child is taking a break for the month of February** Continuing our road trip, today sees us in Snowtown, a small place 100km north of Adelaide. The welcome sign has an original windmill and the new wind power generators which we saw in a recent post along the hilltops for several miles. a painted water tower the infamous "bodies in barrels" bank which is no longer a bank All Bank signage was removed a long time ago an...

Excellent advice I think. an "Aussie style" Christmas window display seen in the city by "no-one" David Jones Store has its traditional Chri...
Or he is one of Putin's toadies and is calling it a different name...
ReplyDeletea rehearsal? Weapons checking operation?
DeleteHe is either ignorant and has no access to media or a professional liar. Sad times are these.
ReplyDeleteArkansas Patti; I'll choose professional liar.
DeleteI believe they are calling it a "special military operation".
ReplyDeleteJulie; welcome to drifting. There's nothing special about this operation. A murderous takeover is what it is in my opinion.
DeleteSir, a war by any other name stinks as badly.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; yes it does, we can smell way down here under the equator.
DeletePutin is working hard to keep his war on his terms. I hope we squeeze the life from him.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; I'm hoping for a fatal heart attack when no one is around to help him, or maybe a brain aneurysm.
DeleteI have personal list horrible people, and Putin is one of them.
ReplyDeleteDora; my horrible list is short, but Putin is definitely on it.
DeleteOh dear me, not good.
ReplyDeleteHow can he sleep at night (or whenever).
ReplyDeleteIris Flavia; he has no conscience, also no heart and no soul.
DeleteI do think he is sick. His hands were shivering as I saw him in the news yesterday. Parkinson (also in the brain?!!!).
DeleteWord games!
