I have that song on my iTunes! I don't remember when I discovered it, but she did a couple of songs with Lee Hazlewood that are pretty great. (And he had solo songs that were great too.)
Steve Reed; I had forgotten this until it popped while I was browsing youtube at midnight because I couldn't sleep. I'll have to add it to my playlists.
Dora; I don't think any of my family liked her, but that might be because there wasn't much of her music on our radios back then. I don't remember where I first heard this, but I liked it then and still like it now.
I shall keep this short and sweet. Thank you! Thank You! Thank You! I am truly surprised to have received this: Laughing Horse Award from Yorkshire Pudding , also known as YP, for being the Australian Blogger of the Year. Click the link to read the nice things he said.
The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by River (that's me) and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1. on the run 2. belong 3. street 4. breakfast 5. tent and this image: taken by "Genius" and allowed by Val . Also Charlotte's colour of the month which is Orient Red for September.
