Musical Monday # 8

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.
I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is Alan Jackson again.

Livin' on Love

and the lyrics.

  1. Not my preferred music style - but the lyrics are very, very true.
    Thank you.

  3. Elephant's Child; I like most music a bit more boppy too, but this is easy to listen to when I'm sleepy at the end of the day.

Lee; I like AJ quite a lot.

  4. Love the whole concept of Musical Monday and Before today had never heard of Alan Jackson. Thanks for introducing me to him and to this. Off for a singsong of my own now.

  5. Carol E Wyer; welcome to drifting, although I think you've been here before. I've been listening to AJ for many years now. His music is very easy to listen to.

  6. Oh those powerful messages hold true. I drive to work with AJ and others blaring on the radio, before I go into the classroom and become a dignified teacher.

  7. Musical Monday!

We are expecting thunderstorms this morning -- very murky outside! -- so I think I will have to choose "Monday, Monday" from the Mamas and the Papas. :-)

  9. Not my type of music but nice song and he has a great voice.
I don't know if I've been living under a stone for years but it's amazing how few of these artists I've ever heard of.
Incidentally, as I am typing this we are having a shower (not real rain) which is good. There's been rain and storms about 50+km south of us.

  10. Linda; I like songs that send a good message out. I used to walk to work with AJ playing on the ipod.

Pearl; Monday, Monday is another of my favourites.

Life happens; it is great, just like many of AJ's.

klahanie; like a bit of country do you?

Mimsie; this is definitely my type of music, although I like rock and roll too.
I have a similar thing going on where I don't know many of the recent singers or their songs. You grew up in the time of Jazz and the Big Bands, so that is what you remember most, particularly since you went dancing a lot.
