Musical Monday # 75
Musical Monday
I was introduced to
Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.
I think it’s a fun way
to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same
time.
I’ll be finding my clips
on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many
versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong
artist.
Today’s clip is: actually two clips, for two of my blogger friends.
First, for Mohave Rat and his much loved wife Mrs Rat, who recently celebrated her 63rd birthday.
Travis Tritt
More Than You'll Ever Know
and the lyrics:
(I hope this is the lyrics...)
Second, for Susan Flett-Swiderski and her husband Smarticus, who now has a Harley again after being without for several years.
Steppenwolf:
Born to Be Wild
and the lyrics.
And for my own awesome K--Happy Birthday!!
Hi River,
ReplyDeleteBorn to be wild - great song.
:o)
Cheers
PM
I suspect the Rat (and Mrs Rat) will love this.
ReplyDeleteAnd Born to Be Wild is a bikers anthem.
Happy birthday, K!! Neither one of the Travis Tritt songs has the lyrics. My father-in-law once bought me a little stuffed duck wearing a "Born to Be Wild" shirt.
ReplyDeleteThank You River! You know me pretty good!
ReplyDeleteFirstly....Happy Birthday to K....I hope she has a wonderful birthday full of happiness and love.
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy Anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Mohave Rat...may they celebrate their grand achievement in style! A song from Travis Tritt will certainly help them do so; particularly this one. :)
I like Travis and have a couple of his CDs.
I also like "Born to be Wild"...a good old song! :)
The first one bought a tear to the eyes and the second made me feel young again.
ReplyDeleteMerle.........
Two awesome song choices! The first one really plucks at the ol' heartstrings, and the second one? What can I say? Thank you! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteHave you see the senior version of "Born to Be Wild"? I've posted it on my blog a couple times, because even though I still crank up the radio and sing along whenever "BTBW" comes on, the "Bald, Fat, and Mild" parody is (sigh) more applicable nowadays. (And it's funny!)
Wow, Steppenwolf. Now, that takes me way back...
ReplyDeletePlasman; one of my favourites :)
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; it's perfect for them, both songs for both couples.
fishducky; sorry about the Travis Tritt lyrics, do you still have the Born to be Wild duck?
Mohave Rat; I knew this was just right for you and Mrs Rat :)
Lee; K says she doesn't feel her age, she feels about 20.
I don't have any Travis Tritt CDs, just some of his songs on the ipods and a couple of music DVDs.
Merle; I felt the same, glad you did too.
Susan; I don't recall the senior version, you'll have to post it again someday, or email it to me. The first song there really is lovely isn't it?
Vicki; sometimes it's nice to go back :)
I know of the 4 songs. I prefer the last two..
ReplyDelete.. great songs... thanks River... Hugs.. Barb xxxx
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge mainstream country music fan. Give me Steppenwolf any day!
ReplyDeleteThe senior version: (Not that it's about US, mind you...)
