Linda Sue; let's not be dead just yet. Well, the virus can be dead. I'm not a travelling type myself, but I don't like the idea that I can't if I should want to.
Great, sad first video. All the lurking shown, so true. I have travelling syndrome, too...
Mostly, though, I feel for kids who don´t know better. Or knew and can´t understand why it had stopped. And all those who lived from travel. Crazy, crazy times.
Iris Flavia; I know you have travelling syndrome, but things will eventually change and you will travel again. I think small kids will not know any different and think the way things are now is the way it always was and always will be. I think it's the adults who suffer the most, those who had an overseas holiday every year or two.
I shall keep this short and sweet. Thank you! Thank You! Thank You! I am truly surprised to have received this: Laughing Horse Award from Yorkshire Pudding , also known as YP, for being the Australian Blogger of the Year. Click the link to read the nice things he said.
The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by River (that's me) and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1. on the run 2. belong 3. street 4. breakfast 5. tent and this image: taken by "Genius" and allowed by Val . Also Charlotte's colour of the month which is Orient Red for September.
The first is clever, and sadly true.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the second will become the norm for lucky travellers again.
Elephant's Child; I thought it was clever and really do hope the second will be true again sooner rather than later.
Deletehahahaha Love the first!! Dead on, and by dead I mean dead....hahaha

DeleteClever, putting them together.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; I was only looking for the second one, but when I saw the first, they just had to go together.
DeleteThat first one was just the smile i needed. We should be able to travel again sometime soon.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; I'm not a traveller, but I do know people who are missing not being able to take off for other parts.
DeleteThat's hilarious, LOL!
ReplyDeleteDebra She Who Seeks; welcome to drifting. I hoped people would like it.
DeleteWith my bank account I won't be doing much traveling.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Dora; same here and I don't travel anyway.
DeleteThat's very cleverly done.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; I thought so too.
DeleteFirst one is beautifully done...like them both.

DeleteI have a hard time with spoofs. Especially if I like the original which in this case I do.
