Linda Sue; let's not be dead just yet. Well, the virus can be dead. I'm not a travelling type myself, but I don't like the idea that I can't if I should want to.
Great, sad first video. All the lurking shown, so true. I have travelling syndrome, too...
Mostly, though, I feel for kids who don´t know better. Or knew and can´t understand why it had stopped. And all those who lived from travel. Crazy, crazy times.
Iris Flavia; I know you have travelling syndrome, but things will eventually change and you will travel again. I think small kids will not know any different and think the way things are now is the way it always was and always will be. I think it's the adults who suffer the most, those who had an overseas holiday every year or two.
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections. A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please. Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look. Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally. Not sure if Elephant's Child will be joining us, but we have hope. Beginning today with a drawing from Gen, age 3 it's a cat! She has only recently learned to draw circles and other shapes. spring growth on the fig tree across the road small mounds of yellow daisies in the house for sale just up the road a bit I moved my porch potplants to where the rain could water them, then lifted incorrectly when I put them back and am now suf...

Beginning today with a few photos of my TV screen, on the news: In the far north, the APY Lands (I think, it was a while ago) the indigenous people held their own Grand Final football match: in the heat and the red dust much fun was had spectators as well as players it was lovely to see, quite a change from the city matches with over-crowded stands and all the cheering and booing that goes on. on another TV show: she really killed...

Brother R came to visit and brought me some old paperwork belonging to my dad, who has been dead for 25 and a half years now. They'd been stored in a container with moth balls and were quite stinky so I pegged them out on the clothes rack in the back porch three days later, most are now inside, but the heavier items such as dad's passports are still smelly so they are still out there. I now have the original copy of his natu...
The first is clever, and sadly true.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the second will become the norm for lucky travellers again.
Elephant's Child; I thought it was clever and really do hope the second will be true again sooner rather than later.

DeleteClever, putting them together.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; I was only looking for the second one, but when I saw the first, they just had to go together.
DeleteThat first one was just the smile i needed. We should be able to travel again sometime soon.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; I'm not a traveller, but I do know people who are missing not being able to take off for other parts.
DeleteThat's hilarious, LOL!
ReplyDeleteDebra She Who Seeks; welcome to drifting. I hoped people would like it.
DeleteWith my bank account I won't be doing much traveling.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Dora; same here and I don't travel anyway.
DeleteThat's very cleverly done.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; I thought so too.
DeleteFirst one is beautifully done...like them both.
ReplyDeleteMargaret D; thank you.

DeleteI have a hard time with spoofs. Especially if I like the original which in this case I do.
