mental blank
I've been tired quite a lot lately, and this has morphed into an ear infection.
I should have known, I often have a few days of tiredness with low rise in temperature before an ear infection. But it's been years and years...
Anyway, I'm taking penicillin now, so the ear feels better and the tiredness will help when I'm at the dentist today. Perhaps I'll fall asleep in the chair and not feel anything.

Aw crap. An ear infection AND a trip to the dentist? Poor thing. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteEchoing Susan. Take care of yourself and get well soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat they said!!
ReplyDeleteHope you start feeling better very soon.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could fall asleep at the dentist, hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteMerle..................
Ear infections stink. I endured a childhood of them! Get over it quick!
ReplyDeleteOh, not an ear infection. I used to get them years ago and they are very unpleasant and make you feel really crappy.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the dentist will take your mind off your ear, at least for a while.
Get the dental work over with and get better soon.
Susan; I have antibiotics and since I almost never take them, they work well. I haven't had an ear infection in 15-20 years.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; thanks, I'm having a rest day. I always need that after dental anesthetic anyway.
fishducky; thanks, I'm feeling better, the ear is quieting down.
Delores; started feeling better as soon as the dentist was over.
Merlesworld; once the sting of the needle is done I'm able to relax quite well at the dentist.
Joanne; I had a toddlerhood of ear infections and now have much scarring on the eardrums, part of the reason I don't hear well I suppose. I'll be okay by Monday.
Mimsie; ear infections are as bad as tonsillitis for making me feel crappy. Had them both many times as a toddler. Had two fillings done today, got about four left to be done. Then I will have old crumbling and cracking fillings replaced.
I hope this means you'll be infection and pain free by Christmastime!! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteHello River! I saw your comment at Mimsie's and even referred to it when I left MY comment. (does that make sense?) Anyway,I popped over to look at your blog and I see some of my blog pals here, too. Great to meet you! (I'm so sorry about your ear infection. Yes, they can be very painful!...and the dentist?? I could only fall asleep there with the help of...I don't know what! That reminds me, too, that I wrote a chapter in my memoir about going to the dentist as a child!
ReplyDeleteRed Nomad OZ; I'm a fast healer, I'll be fine by Monday.
ReplyDeleteBECKY; welcome to drifting. I'll pop over and have a look at your blog.
Echinacea helps ward off infection - and vitamin C aids healing then you'll be fighting fit:-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon my friend. I'll be sending positive thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteOh River, I'm so sorry to hear you're unwell. I've never had an eat infection, but my son had them constantly when he was a tiny tot and he was certsinly misersable. I hope you feel better really soon.
ReplyDeleteSounds very painful. hope your ear infection clears up soon.
ReplyDeletejabblog; echinacea doesn't agree with my stomach. I take vitamin C daily, that may be one reason why I get better quickly and rarely get sick.
ReplyDeleteOpEx; much better now thank you. Still got a few days of antibiotics to go.
Marie; I had them often as a toddler and once or twice when we first came back to Adelaide, then none until now. I'm sure the hayfever has a lot to do with it, this has been a harsh season for sufferers.
Molly; welcome to drifting, have you been here before? I remember another Molly....could have been you? The ear is clearing up nicely, thank you.
Molly; I just checked, it is you. I haven't been to your site for ages! Going there today....
ReplyDeleteI too used to get tonsilitis (once every month) until I had them out when I turned 21. Perhaps it means our heads aren't right with ear, throat and dental problems. Who knows? At least I feel our brains still function well which I guess is what counts most. lol
ReplyDeleteHope by tomorrow you will feel well again.
