The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by River and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1.conviviality 2.adoration 3.willpower 4.mellow 5.gentle 6.guitar Have fun, don't use all the words if you can't,there's no pressure here. My story will appear on this blog on Friday as always, unless I can't write one... edit: Charlotte's colour of the month is Beauty Berry Purple.
Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections. A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please. Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look. Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally. Brother R came to visit and brought me some old paperwork belonging to my dad, who has been dead for 25 and a half years now. They'd been stored in a container with moth balls and were quite stinky so I pegged them out on the clothes rack in the back porch three days later, most are now inside, but the heavier items such as dad's passports are still smelly so they are still out there. I now have the original copy of his natu...
Every few months since I've had her, Lola has been taken to the vet, just seven minutes walk away from home, for a "manicure" aka getting her talons clipped. In the beginning the cost was $19.90, gradually increasing until her last visit was $29.90 Today's visit? $35.00!! and what did I get for my trouble? a nice big welt where she scratched me as I tried to get her out of the carrier. Disinfected as soon as I got home of course, I've no wish to get sick from cat scratch fever!.
That is an awesome shot! The council!

ReplyDeletemessymimi; a better huddle than football.
DeleteKenyan Maasai men gathering before a hunt.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; suitably disguised too :)

Victor SE Moubarak; it does look like that, but these are actual trees.
DeleteLooks like a fun party! :-)
ReplyDeleteIris Flavia; it does!

DeleteWe have those insane looking succulent trees. Yours are far more interesting.
ReplyDeleteSusan Kane; I don't think they are Australian trees, but I could be wrong. I got the picture from Mike's blog.
