when broccoli goes bad.

  1. Good one. If only GW ate his broccoli, instead of invoking Presidential privilege, there would be far less of the stuff around.

  2. The great broccoli holdup.

  3. No, no, no. The broccoli was framed. It was really the brussel sprouts. Trust me...

  4. That broccoli may well be holding up a very small person.

  5. A non-armed hold up. And, it'll be too hard to identify in a line up - all broccoli look the same.

  6. Joanne; Presidential privilege just to get out of eating broccoli??
    That's a bit much.

Delores; I've just checked my fridge to be sure there are no guns in the crisper drawer.

Elephant's Child; the sprouts are rolling around laughing at you now.

klahanie; a broccoli costume! great disguise.

Vicki; non-armed? he has a gun....but still would be hard to pick out of a lineup.

  7. Sorry, I was alluding to the broccoli not having "arms" :)

  9. Vicki; I wondered...

Weekend-Windup; welcome to drifting. I love broccoli, I eat it several times a week, brussels sprouts too, but those more in winter than summer.

  10. Needed a good laugh after the flood and this one did it for me....thanks.
More likely the cauliflower made him do it!!!
I loved it but I also love to eat broccoli and all other vegies, green, yellow, red or white.
Must send another book of to you soon. That's if you still enjoy reading them.

  11. I must be extra thick this morning because I looked for quite a few seconds before I got it. Of course, because I'm a broccoli lover (and I love brussel sprouts as well) I never understand why they have a bad reptuation. When my son was little, I used to make a dish with broccoli and he always asked me to make "the pasta with the little trees". :-)

  12. Oh dear. Poor picked on broccoli.

  13. Mimsie; I wouldn't be at all surprised to find the cauliflower behind this escapade. I love broccoli too and brussels sprouts, most vegetables really, although cauliflower needs a little help with some cheese sauce.

Marie; my kids used to love the "little trees" too and brussels sprouts were fairies basketballs.

Pearl; I knew you would. :)

Robin; I don't understand why people don't like broccoli. Perhaps they overcook it so it's mushy?
