Sunday Selections #269

Welcome back to Sunday Selections!

This once-a- week-meme was originally begun by Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, as a way to showcase some of the many photos we all take, but don't get around to showing on our blogs.

The rules are very simple:-
1. post photos of your choice, old or new, under the Sunday Selections title
2. link back to me, River, somewhere in your post
3. leave me a comment so that I know you've joined in and can come over and see what you've posted.
4. hop on over to Elephant’s Child to see more of her wonderful photos.
  Andrew often joins in too.

I usually go with a theme for my Sunday Selections and this week the theme is Sky.
We have clouds, seen in the sky, and birds, usually seen in the sky, this time on the paving in Rundle Mall.

one very dark pigeon,

two cute little sparrows.

I love the colour patterns on their feathers.

the bus on the other side of the road always comes first

interesting shapes here. do you see a face up there?

I see a legless dancer....bottom left, flying hair, spread skirt...

no sign of my bus yet

does this look like England to you?

puffy flying cartoon dog?

almost filling the sky a short time later.

so many shades of blue, all in one day.

looking a little stormy.

last photo, my bus was arriving.

  1. I never see anything in clouds except clouds - I have no imagination but I do love a stormy sky...

  2. The only sparrows I see these days are those in photos. I've not seen a live/real sparrow in years. There are none around these parts nowadays.

And that cloud formation does look like British Isles.

I hope you're enjoying your Easter, River and that that coming week treats you well. Cuddles to Angel. :)

  3. Cloud watching has always been a great pastime for me, and am always amazed how much the clouds reveal.
Love the pigeon and sparrows too :)

  4. Just look like clouds to me, don't take the yellow tablets.

JK, if you look at clouds long enough you see many things.

  5. I see the face in the sky--with a big mustache!!

  6. Grace; there aren't always things to be seen, sometimes they're just fluffy white blobs.

Lee; there's not many sparrows around these days, too many pigeons I expect :(

Vicki; sometimes the clouds reveal nothing, sometimes there's so much to see up there.

    joeh; yellow tablets?

fishducky; I wonder if we are seeing the same face? I see bushy eyebrows with a cartoon nose under them, then a mouth and chin under the long nose.

  7. I hope I am never too old to cloud watch. And wonder...
    A lovely series. Thank you.

  8. Elephant's Child; no one is ever too old to cloud watch.

  9. Interesting sky and birds.
We hadn't seen any sparrows for years here, but then this year - wow, they have returned.

  10. Love the pigeon, such a lovely dark colour. We don't have sparrows in WA as they are not allowed over here, poor things.
I too love clouds and I can see the things you see in them too, especially the little dancer.
Hope your Easter Sunday was a pleasant one for you and Angel.
