      joeh; I remember my brother-in-law's lab who also tested everything, including toys.

      Elephant's Child; Labs are very thorough, they'll test anything, even inedibles, just in case.

      Andrew; they certainly do, I've seen one eat an entire can of dogfood in less than two minutes then sit by the table waiting for extras, which he got.

Brother R came to visit and brought me some old paperwork belonging to my dad, who has been dead for 25 and a half years now.  They'd been stored in a container with moth balls and were quite stinky so I pegged them out on the clothes rack in the back porch three days later, most are now inside, but the heavier items such as dad's passports are still smelly so they are still out there.
