Musical Monday #12

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is:  The Traveling Wilburys

End Of The Line

An easy listening choice from my playlist. Notice the chair with only a guitar in it? That's for Roy Orbison, a member of the group who sadly died too soon.

And here are the lyrics:

I hope you all enjoy this one.

  2. Lovely reminder. And the skinny one has always been a big Travelling Wilburys fan.

  3. Delores; it's a nice quiet listen, rather than boom crash bang!

Elephant's Child; Me too, since they first formed, it's a shame Roy Orbison died. They only have two albums don't they?

  4. How did you know? I was in the mood for nice quiet, rather than a boom crash bang!

Nice song. Thanks. Here's to a great week... doing the best we can.

  5. Hi River,

Thanks for this. I loved the Travelling Wilburys. Quite the super group and such an eclectic bunch of talent.

  6. Susan; maybe I'm psychic...

klahanie; I had both their albums on cassette and my first ex nicked them when he left me. I always meant to replace them with cds, but haven't got around to it.

  8. It's pretty. And I'm finding myself not buying so much music any more; the formats keep changing so much!

  9. Not a bad song with a good beat. My ignorance of modern music shows up here as I had no idea Roy Orbison (whose music I always enjoyed) was connected with the Travelling Wilburys although I seem to remember hearing the name of that group somewhere.
One of the fellows looks a lot like George Harrison of is that my imagination. You see I do now who the Beatles are. :-)

  10. Lee; their easy style is one of my favourites too.

Happy Christine; I don't buy much either, I wait until my daughter shows me new stuff she has and if I like it I buy it through I-tunes and add it to my playlist.

Mimsie; you're right, that is George Harrison along with Tom Petty and a couple of others whose names I don't remember. It isn't too modern, they're from the 80s.
