Musical Monday # 88

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Dan Hill

 Sometimes When We Touch

and the lyrics:

so you can sing along :)

  1. I love this old song and only played it the other day. A very nice choice. :)

  2. I love the music but look at those lyrics in the context of domestic violence that we are more aware of today and it becomes a little creepy. A bit like "l"ll be watching you". Sorry if I've ruined the day for everyone but it's something I've noticed in a lot of my old favourites.

  4. fishducky; it's a song that's easy to listen to.

Elephant's Child; I never really listened to the lyrics until recently.

Lee; I have it on my iPod, not a top favourite, but okay to listen to.

JahTeh; I'll have to listen again and see if I hear what you do. "I'll be watching you" is the one my K calls the stalker song.

    Margaret-whiteangel; it's a favourite for many people.

  7. I'll keep an open mind on this one. Dan Hill is a new one on me and I found the lyrics a little daunting as I do with a lot of more modern songs. Guess I'm used to the old love songs where everything was either wonderful or sad, depending on the scenario. Perhaps I still enjoy the old crooners!!

  9. Mimsie; I think he is just expressing some of the love and exasperation often felt in a marriage.

    Barbara; I like it too.
