Long ago, Kim of Frog Ponds Rock, (who no longer blogs), dreamed up a meme called Sunday Selections. A place where those who were willing could put up photos they wanted to share, new, old, good, bad or indifferent, any photos you please. Nothing rude or vulgar though. And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look. Wisewebwoman has also been joining us more often. **Elephant's Child is taking a break for the month of February** Continuing our road trip, today sees us in Snowtown, a small place 100km north of Adelaide. Thank you, River...and thank your daughter, too. Very thoughtful. :)
ReplyDeleteLee; you're welcome, I'll tell her. Or you could leave the same at her blog.
ReplyDeleteFortuately I am not involved with your provider, hope the mess gets cleaned up soon.
ReplyDeleteVest; they're hackers and scammers, all they want is your bank details so they can rip you off. Once too many people know about this, they'll try another method.
DeleteUnscrupulous people are getting worse. (if that's possible) Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteS.J.Qualls; worse and more prolific, and there's so many more of them nowadays too. All wanting money that doesn't belong to them.
DeleteHere in the U.S. there are a few of these types of hackers that lock your files and try to hold you hostage by demanding money to unlock your data. It's getting somewhat rarer here because the authorities are tracking them down and prosecuting them for fraud.
ReplyDeleteCheryl; getting rarer there? That's because they're all coming here. This isn't the first "lock up your data" scam, and it won't be the last. I just hope people are careful not to give information and also to inform the police.
DeleteThank you and your daughter. The scammers are bastards. And probably very rich ones.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; I imagine the rich ones are the big boys who hire the scammers who then get thrown to the wolves when caught while the big boys jut move on.
