Musical Monday # 117

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is:  Sara Evans

Suds In The Bucket

and the lyrics:

so you can sing along :)

    1. S.J.Qualls; this is an oldie, almost everything you hear here is from the 90s or older. Sara Evans is a favourite.

  4. This was a good song to sing along with as I was making my fruit and nut loaf (which is now in the oven)...it swung me into Monday morning...into the start of a new week....onward and upward.

And I'm looking forward to the loaf that's begun to fill the air with its aroma!!

    1. Lee; mmm, fruit and nut loaf! I'm on my way! You've got real butter? Unsalted butter? Because I can bring my own if I have to :)

    2. I have real butter, River...both salted and unsalted. I only ever use butter...never margarine or the like....that's a no-no!

The coffee machine is on! :)

  5. Definitely a hoppy, boppy tune. Not my style, but I can see the charm.

  6. New song...new artist. I'm not a country and western fan but I really enjoyed this one.
I feel the 18 y.o. is probably heading from one bucket of suds and washing on the line to another lot of the same. Marriage is like that. (*:*)

    1. Mimsie; that's true of course, there's always laundry no matter where you live or who with.
I do feel the point of the song is: it wasn't suds she was running away from, but her prince that she was running to.

    2. I'm sure it was meant to be romantic of course. Just was amused by the lines about the bucket etc.

    1. Cheryl; I'm surprised you haven't heard it, Sara Evans is American. Maybe you don't listen to country music.
