Musical Monday # 89

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: a drum cover of Music Box Dancer.

We all know I like drums as much as I do piano, so you can imagine how happy I was to find this. Probably not to everyone's taste, but I like it.

and then I found this:

the cutest little drummer ever.

  4. I adore the drums and have done so since I was a small child. Throughout my childhood I had a glossy photo of the one and only Gene Krupa on my bedroom wall. I always wanted to play the drums - had a few attempts...."attempts" being the operative word. But those attempts were so much fun! :) I still have my LPs featuring drummers and, of course, CDS.

That little guy is so cute. A great way to kick off a new week...and that's the drum!!! :)

I hope you watched or will get to watch last night's double episodes of "The Blacklist", River. They were terrific! And one particular scene towards the end made me laugh out loud! Great to see Red back in our midst...nice of him to drop by. :)

  5. The drums much improve Music Box Dancer. How good is the child drummer! It is amazing what YT can turn up.

  7. I love to watch little kids perform and do well. Before I forget, could you please update your blog list and send everyone back over the twocentsworth. I would appreciate it.

  8. Grace; fun is the best thing to have and if music comes from it, that's even better.

fishducky; they were a delight weren't they?

Elephant's Child; he's not the only one, there are so many very junior drummers to be found on you tube.

Lee; I love many instruments and wish I could play. I'd forgotten Gene Krupa. The little kid looks like he's enjoying his lesson.
Loved The Blacklist last night, which scene made you laugh out loud?

Andrew; I like both versions, but the drums do add something special. Go to you tube and see just how many baby drummers there are!

Margaret-whiteangel; you'll have to get a new sheet. Do you play piano? The little one is good, may be a star someday.

mohaverat; I've been meaning to upgrade, just keep forgetting. I'll make a note and get to it.

  9. Lee; I smiled quite a lot at that too, even let out a delighted ha ha or two. One less evil in the show.

  12. I enjoy drumming but would have preferred if the instrumentals were less loud so more drumming could be heard. Do you remember Gene Kruper? I think he was one of the best drummers I've ever heard in my life.
Great to see little tykes getting a chance too.
