Musical Monday # 104

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is: Trisha Yearwood

River of You

I do like me some Trisha :)

Comments

  1. Love the moppets on the river.
Not a country fan though. Catchy as it is.

  2. I agree with Elephant's Child. The kids are really cute but I am not a huge country fan.

  3. Me, too, River. As you know, I, too, like Trisha. And I love country music. I love all genres of music, with the exception of rap/hip-hop.

I recorded a fabulous documentary that was on late Saturday night on SBS...following the movie about the lives of Johnny Cash and June Carter - "Walk the Line", that I watched again for the hundredth time...great movie.

The documentary made about The Highwaymen...it was fantastic. As well as showcasing performances etc., by The Highwaymen, the doco had interviews with Willie, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson...all of whom I adore.

It was a terrific show. The doco had been made as a tribute to both the late Cash and Jennings. And a worthy tribute it was.

  5. I like the Southern accent but don't like Country music. When I was in Housing Commission flats the moll on the corner blasted it day and night. I told her I liked it -only because I was scared stiff of her.

  6. I wondered why you were posting Musical Monday, then I realised I'm a day out, due to the long weekend :D

    Cute music clip.

  7. Eephant's Child; they're cute little kids aren't they? Brings back memories I have of floating in a tyre on a river.

Cheryl; country music isn't everyone's choice and that's okay.

Lee; I knew you'd like this one. I haven't seen the Johnny Cash movie, I was never interested enough. I've seen the email you sent and I'll watch that doco later. I've just woken from a longish nap.

Jackie K; I'm glad you like it.

R.H.; I think that was very rude of her, but since you said you liked it, she probably thought she was doing you a favour by playing it loud enough for you to hear.

Vicki; I've lost track of the days a bit too, it must be all the naps now that the weather is colder.
