a couple of photos for you
one taken by me, one not taken by me. I have permission now to post these, so let me present to you all>>
Genevieve and Anastasia at one day old
Genevieve and Anastasia at two days old.
Born three weeks early, they are so very tiny, but breathing on their own and sleeping well.
Do any of you remember the "Baby Born" dolls that every little girl wanted about 25 years ago?
That's how big these little girls are, with Genevieve being just slightly bigger than her twin, about a pound heavier.
I took this second photo when I went to visit and hold them on Saturday.
Today, they are four days old, my how time does fly.
They are precious sweet angels. This reminds me of when I worked at the hospital lab in El Paso. When there was a lull at work, I would go upstairs and help the nurses with the many tiny babies. Feeding, changing, and rocking them to sleep. It was like being in heaven, I loved it.
ReplyDeleteLeanna; they are so precious, it's been 18 years since I held babies this tiny, my son is just over the moon, completely besotted with his tiny daughters.
DeleteAdorable. I can't imagine a four-day-old person!
ReplyDeleteSteve Reed; it is a bit hard to imagine unless you are right there holding them.
DeleteThey are just beautiful - and I love their names. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; thank you, I love their names too, they'll travel well to adulthood. Found you in my spam again.
DeleteThey are adorable! Oh River, how I envy you :)
ReplyDeletejenny_o; thank you, I'm in love with them myself.
DeleteOhh, they're adorable! Thanks for the peep!
ReplyDeleteCharlotte; thank you, there won't be a lot of photos, just an occasional one after today.
DeleteOH MY GOSH! They are so sweet! I love that second picture, how they are "mirroring" each other's position.
ReplyDeleteVal; they even have them lying on the same side as before they were born, Gen was on the left in the womb, with Ana on the right, so I think that's the most comfortable for them.
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteKathy G; thank you :)
DeleteWhat a couple of cuties.
ReplyDeleteMike; thank you, They'll be cuties for quite a while, then they'll learn to crawl and walk and be into everything.
DeleteLovely, with such royal sounding names.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; but not outlandish names, and there won't be three or six others in the class at school so the teachers have to use surname initials. They are also names that travel well into adulthood.
DeleteBeautiful babies!
ReplyDeleteJoanne; thank you, the parents are good looking too.
DeleteAwwww!!! Most precious.
ReplyDeletemessymimi; thank you, I love them so much, my heart is full.
DeleteOh my goodness, they are so precious. You must be over the moon.
ReplyDeleteArkansas Patti; absolutely over the moon :)
DeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Dora; thank you :)
DeleteOh they are just ever so sweet - they will soon grow up.
ReplyDeleteMargaret D; too soon, far too soon, but that is the way of babies :)
DeleteOhhh, such cutie-pies! Congrats, "Granma", what a sweet joy!!! :-)
