I've been told by 'no one' that she can see my mum in one of their faces, and my son, their daddy, in the other face. I can't see it myself, I've never been able to see other people in newborn faces.
Andrew; when my firstborn was two days old she looked exactly like one of her aunties, but changed a day later. More recently, a newborn I met looked exactly like his mother. Apart from those two, I have never been able to see family resemblances at this early age.
new borns are all so look alike- these little girls are so tiny still that they have not had enough time to look like somebody. just themselves. and they are precious little wee bundles.!!
The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by River (that's me) and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1. on the run 2. belong 3. street 4. breakfast 5. tent and this image: taken by "Genius" and allowed by Val . Also Charlotte's colour of the month which is Orient Red for September.

And we don't mind at all if other bloggers care to join us. The meme is now continued by Elephant's Child and I join in as do a few others. Andrew is one. Messymimi is another. Drop in to their blogs and have a look. Wisewebwoman has also been joining us occasionally. you might need your magnifying glass or a high powered microscope to read the franking over the stamp: above the stamp it reads "secure your dog" and across the stamp "for safe delivery" - this was on a Christmas card that arrived through the mail from my brother. Excellent advice I think. an "Aussie style" Christmas window display seen in the city by "no-one" David Jones Store has its traditional Chri...
