kitchen tip #?????
Not exactly environmentally friendly...... Line the base of your oven with a sheet of aluminium foil. If you keep a tray there to catch spills and overflows, line the tray with aluminium foil instead. It's much easier to throw away a sheet of foil (once it's been spilled on a few dozen times), than it is to scrub off baked on spillovers.
Yes. But I prefer chips to fries. The hot ones. Very rarely have them, but ...
ReplyDeleteWhat ever happen to potato crisps or chips those are more Aussie than fries :-).
ReplyDeleteYah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEC; I don't like hot chips as much as I did when I was little. The vegetable oils they fry in are just not as tasty as the animal fats they used to fry in. I still make my own now and again, but it's kind of a once a year thing now.
ReplyDeleteWindsmoke; potato crisps are still out there, just lost in amongst all the fancy new flavours, which are a little over-the-top if you ask me.
peskypixies; agreed!!!
Yeh love a sense of humour. How come you can't get proper chips any more? And what are you doing eating chips? naughty naughty
ReplyDeleteWhere do you find them? Worth it just for the packaging.
ReplyDeletedeath in a bag....yummie...pass it over here.
ReplyDeleteCold fries in a bag?? It sounds... gross. Then again, so does Vegemite. :)
ReplyDeleteAre they just potato chips that LOOK like fries? Or are they cold fries, all soggy in the bag for real?
Oui.
ReplyDeleteBaino; I haven't eaten them, just bought them to post the picture.
ReplyDeleteElisabeth; supermarkets, in the crisps aisle.
Delores; yummy and salty, crunchy too.
Happy Elf; these are a fry shaped version of potato chips. Crunchy, salty, yummy. Certainly not real fries all cold and soggy. ERK!
Andrew; oi oi.
River weren't they Smith's Chips in the 'old' days. How things have changed. Because of that there is no longer a place in my cupboard for them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the memories.
Cheryl; Smith's Chips are still available, but now they're Smith's Crisps and come in many new flavours as well as the original.
