The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. Sadly, Delores has now closed her blog forever due to other problems. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write. A story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along to read it and add a few encouraging words. This month the words/prompts are supplied by River (that's me) and can be found here This week's words/prompts are: 1. on the run 2. belong 3. street 4. breakfast 5. tent and this image: taken by "Genius" and allowed by Val . Also Charlotte's colour of the month which is Orient Red for September.
Well now, Happy Birthday to you! How odd, your baby picture and self portrait are close to mine? Maybe we Leos tend to look similar as we age. I don't have any warts though - I think you added that for fun! HaHa. I do have many more wrinkles ... I hope you have a great day and the chocolate cake I didn't get!
ReplyDeleteS.J.Qualls; thank you. Maybe it is a Leo thing and we all look alike in some way. I'm sorry about your chocolate cake, the kids said they "taste tested" quite a few.
DeleteHappy Birthday!!
ReplyDeletejoeh; thank you. I have a blissful day of sloth planned.
DeleteHappy Birthday to you! I swear you don't look a day over 102 :-)
ReplyDeleteKathy G; why thank you! it's always nice to look a bit younger, my mum was the same.
DeleteHappy birthday, you young punk!! (I was 17 when you were born; I could have been your babysitter.)
ReplyDeletefishducky; thank you, you would have been an awesome babysitter. I'm imagining right now, being semi-raised by fishducky...
DeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteGrace; thank you :)
DeleteHappy birthday. I remember a newspaper clipping you published a while back, with a picture of you. Your self portrait doesn't work; you're a pretty woman. Happy birthday again.
ReplyDeleteJoanne; thank you and thank you again. The self portrait was me doodling my way through a boring meeting at work one day.
DeleteHi River,
ReplyDeleteHoppy Burpday - er sorry (I listened to the kid in my mind!!) - I meant "Happy Birthday".
:o)
Cheers
PM
Plasman; thank you. it might turn out to be a 'burpday' if I drink any of the pepsi that's been lurking in the back of my fridge since last summer.
DeleteA very, very happy birthday to you. I hope as well as the sloth there is cake.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; thank you. there is cake, chocolate cupcakes with peppermint icing :)
DeleteAnd a very happy birthday to you. I am feeling a Beatles song might be appropriate.
ReplyDeleteAndrew; thank you, now which Beatles song would that be?
DeleteLet them eat cake, I say! Hang on! Someone said that before I did! Marie Antoinette never knows when to keep her mouth shut!!
ReplyDeleteHave yourself a grand old time, River. :)
Lee; I say let them all eat cake and I don't care who said it first. I don't think Marie Antoinette is going to come knocking on my door. If she does I'll offer her cake (*~*)
DeleteWishing you a Happy Birthday!!! Hope you have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteCheryl; thank you. I'm having a great time doing nothing at all.
DeleteHope you have a wonderful birthday.
ReplyDeleteYou were a cute baby I imagine you are just the same now only a bit different same as me.
Merle......................
Merle; thank you. We are still cute aren't we? And being bigger, we must be cuter, true?
DeleteHave a wonderful day.
