  1. We have made ourselves slaves to our devices, haven't we?

    1. S.J.Qualls; not me, I'm not one of those who walk around constantly glued to my phone.

  2. How true it is. I turn mine off so it can't shout at me.

    1. Elephant's Child; I don't turn mine off, but I often forget to take it with me. It lives in the corner of the couch under a cushion.

    2. Mine lives in my handbag mostly flat.

    1. Merle; flat is no good, you need to keep it charged in case you need it. You never know when an emergency will arise.
Of course, me with my phone at home on the couch while I'm out, wouldn't be any good in an emergency either (*~*)

  5. I don't own a SmartPhone or a mobile phone of any description. I've no need nor want for one.

My landline phone is smart enough for me; and it's enough for me. I'm not one who uses my phone a lot. There are oft times when it rings I don't answer it...if the moods suits.

I've been thinking, though, if I want to fit in with the "In Crowd", I might start taking one of my remote controls out with me when I go shopping...and pretend! ;)

I hope you had a lovely birthday yesterday, River. :)

    1. Lee; I had a lovely day yesterday, even the weather was good. Today's weather is just about perfect. A remote to pretend to fit in? Nah! Stand alone and be proud to be different.

  6. I am so glad we don't own one of those. We do have a small mobile which is only used for emergency purposes should we be out and something goes awry or Phil takes it with him so I can contact him or he can ring me to let me know where he is or if he is on his way home. That, for us, is sufficient.
