Musical Monday # 115
Musical Monday
I was introduced to
Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.
I think it’s a fun way
to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same
time.
I’ll be finding my clips
on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many
versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong
artist.
Today’s clip is: Tracy Byrd
I'm From The Country
Great video, just like home, ha ha!
ReplyDeleteS.J.Qualls; I thought you'd like this one :)
DeleteWhat an upbeat song!!
ReplyDeletefishducky; it certainly improves my mood when I hear it :)
DeleteCatchy as it is, I have never really warmed to country music. Not certain why.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; you're not alone, there's plenty who don't like it. I don't like some styles either, rap and hip-hop, not a big fan of opera either :)
DeleteI like Tracy Byrd. I've not listened to him for a while. I always had music playing in the kitchens of the restaurants in which I cooked and always had request played for me by two country music programmes (by the hosts thereof...one whom I knew personally who operated a country music show on Townsville's ABC radio station that used to cover all areas north). And also Nick Erby's country music programme that he used to operate from Tamworth. Nick and I became "friends" from afar. Nick is a big name in country music radio. He is now semi-retired and runs an online country music programme emanating out of the Gold Coast. Coincidentally, his brother and sister-in-law live up the at the end of this court in which I live....they have a huge mansion on the escarpment with views to the coast in the distance. A far cry from my humble little cabin. They're nice folk. It's a small world.
ReplyDeleteI like the "honesty" of country music.
Happy days, River. :) A good start to another week! (And that is the end my lengthy tale for today)! :)
Lee; I like this one song, but can't recall any of Tracy Byrd's others, I'll spend some time at you tube on the weekend. I haven't listened to Australian country music programmes at all, certainly never as a child when our radio was only on for the news and then for the serial stories on Sundays.
DeleteEverything I like now is from listening to MTV via my daughter's Foxtel and borrowing her CDs.
I was a city girl the first 50 years of my life. The last 20 I have been in the country...and I like it that way! True song from start to finish. Thanks River.
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie; I live in a suburb close to the city and like it, but I'm country at heart. The city is just more convenient for me.
