Sunday Selections #41

It's Sunday Selection time again!
Time to post photos that have been hiding away in your computer files, photos that you may have completely forgotten about.
Have a hunt through your files and find them.

This idea comes to us from Kim at Frog Ponds Rock, who realised one day that she takes many more photos than she uses, as we all do, and wanted to post some of the older ones on her blog.

A once a week meme seemed like a good idea, so Sunday Selections was born, and anyone at all can join in.

I often choose a theme for my Sunday Selections and this week my theme is

Halloween

One year I came home from work one day to find Halloween images cut from black plastic and strung across one wall of the living room.

Black Cats, facing in both directions,

 Bats

Witches going East,

Withces going West

Little gold Stars strung between them

and a Ghoul hanging in the carport.

Behind the ghoul and at other points in the carport there were bats and cobwebs.

A whole bunch of witches moved in...

.....one of whom helped herself to my jewellery!
Cheeky girl!

To join in with Sunday Selections, post photos of your choice under the Sunday Selections title, then go to Kim's site, add your name to her linky list and leave her a comment.
We all love comments.
Then have alook at what others have posted for their selections.
There are some really good photographers out there.

  1. Big smiles. And of course the witch helped herself to your jewellery. That is what witches do.

  4. I have promised myself that next year I am going to make Halloween a little more special for my girl. Dadda is taking her out trick or treating, but next year I plan to decorate and make special treats. this year was too hard.

Your post has made me smile though :)

  5. EC; she still has the jewellery. I've named her Jessy.

Delores; my hubby bought it for me. It was for display only, the shop didn't want to sell it until all the witches had been sold, so he bought those too.

learncreatedo; if it doesn't feel right for you, then don't do it, especially the trick or treating part. But maybe you could decorate the dining table and have spooky cupcakes or something?

permanently amanda; save yourself some trouble and buy treats, unless you need to be sugar or gluten free, then you'll have to make/bake. Buy some of the decorating type things cheaply in the after-the-event sales perhaps.

  7. Winsmoke; by the time I moved out, he was quite cobwebby and his shroud fell apart, so he went in the bin.

  10. frogpondsrock; oh no!! take lots of whatever cold remedy suits you best and rest a lot.

Carolina; my hubby made them and strung them up. Not the ghoul, he bought that. The witch house is a permanent fixture in my bedroom now, since the colours are so suitable there.
