    Aww I just wish they lasted a bit longer when they're cut. I received a dozen long stemmed last week and they lasted 4 days.

    They've had an amazing year this year, haven't they? Even our 'black thumb' roses flowered, which hardly ever happens!!

    Ooohhhhhh. I miss the roses we had in Trinity gardens - your neck of the woods is famous for them but I can count on one hand how many I've seen here in Flemmo.....

    Jayne; you're absolutely right. They're all beautiful.

    Baino; did they come with a little sachet of stuff to put in the water? It helps them last longer. Otherwise dissolve a little sugar in hot water and add it to the vase water, that helps too. Change water daily and trim a teensy bit off each stem at the same time.

    Red Nomad OZ; The dry winter has set everything flowering amazingly well.

    Kath; I could take a walk past your old house and see how your roses are doing. And at the same time get a good look at everyone elses.

  Welcome to 2026! I hope this is a good year for everyone, hopefully even better than last year. Try not to fall over folks, it's not fun.  🌞🎈🎉 Coming to you from sunny Australia, that big lump of land under the equator.  Sunday Selections will be continuing, hosted by me , participation is optional, if you can't manage every week for any reason, that's okay. Words for Wednesday will also be continuing, hosted by me , and again, participation is optional, play when you can, take a break when you need to.  Charlotte will be providing a colour for each month as she did last year, we try to use the colour somewhere in our posts, either photographing something with that colour or using it in another way.
