Sunday Selections #10
Sunday Selections, brought to us by Kim, of Frogpondsrock, is an ongoing theme where participants post previously unused photos languishing in their files.
Anyone can join in, just post your photos under the Sunday Selections title, link back to Kim, then add your name to her Linky list at Frogpondsrock.
It really is that easy.
For my selection this week, all my chosen photos relate to food.
Because I like food and I love to eat.
First up....Vegemite.
Eaten even by the mightiest of the mighty, as evidenced by the muscle man in this picture taken by my younger son when he was about 9 years old.
Second....An icecream question mark.
Truly, this is how the icecream came off the spoon as I was serving it.
Q: Should I eat this?
A: Hell yeah!!
Third....frying onions, the smell of which is guaranteed to turn anyone's thoughts to weekend barbecues.
This one is from the day we had homemade burgers for dinner, with even the meat patties being home made.
Fourth....the melting yumminess of gingerbread ingredients.
Butter, golden syrup, light brown sugar and a little water.
Fifth....the dinner I was about to eat when I clicked over to JahTeh at Copperwitch and saw those walking skeletons otherwise known as top models. (A couple of weeks ago now)
I should look up the url and link to it, but I'm sure you can find it if you really want to see that post. Just hop on over to Copperwitch and scroll down a bit. Now a bit more.....
Next Sunday, instead of a Sunday Selections post, I will be in Sydney, trying to make sense of the notes I scribbled while listening and learning at the BlogCon, wandering about with a few friends taking many photos, generally having the time of my life.

Sixth and Last....the coffee drinking Dragon which is now my new gravatar.
Mmmmm, coffee...........

I'd love to make a comment but I have to go bake some gingerbread RIGHT NOW.
ReplyDeletePS -- have an awesome time at the Conference!
Toni; ha ha. It makes me want to bake gingerbread too.....
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the coffee drinking dragon.
ReplyDeleteI want gingerbread too. Yum.
ReplyDeleteHey, that's a bloody good feed, really!
ReplyDeleteI'll be visiting soon (just ignore the suitcase).
Bon voyage you funny thing, and y'all come back, y'hear?
Robert is waiting, Barkis is willin', the cat on the post, the possums in the trees, you are a dashing little thing, hornet's nest of liveliness.
Hail.
-ROBERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the food in the photos are mouth watering. My favourite is Vegemite because i'm a Vegemite kid always have been and always will be, even if President Obama thinks it's horrible :-).
ReplyDeleteLucky I had lunch not long ago otherwise I'd be hungry now looking at all that food! Enjoy the conference :)
ReplyDeleteOoh I want fried onions and gingerbread and coffee. NOW!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm, gingerbread...
ReplyDeleteI love the dragon drinking coffee. It's very cute.
OK, thanx very much, I'm salivating ... but LOOOOOOOVE that Vegemite man!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear how the conference goes!!
Making me hungry - and lusting after gingerbread :) I love that coffee dragon, it's wonderful. Two of my favourite things :)
ReplyDeleteThat dinner looks scrumptious and so do the ingredients for gingerbread. It must be that golden syrup that makes my mouth water. Anything that makes the enamel jump off my teeth basically gets salivary glands going ;-)
ReplyDeleteMY salivary glands that is ;-)
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child; Dragons are one of my favourite things. Probably because I'm a dragon lady; born in the year of the dragon.
ReplyDeleteNo-one; would that be with or without lemon icing?
R.H. I'm a good cook. Nothing fancy, just good food cooked well. I'll be back.
Windsmoke; President Obama needs to re-educate his tastebuds.
gaby@727m2; I'm going to have the time of my life.
Kath; did you want those fried onions sprinkled over the gingerbread or mixed into the batter? Coffee on the side.
Veronica: he's one of my favourites.
Red Nomad OZ; so, you're salivating over the man? Or the food?
sleepydwarf; all of you are making me wish I had time to get baking right now...
Carolina; perhaps I should post the gingerbread recipe?
That coffee dragon is so cute, and the food pictures made me hungry! Time to get supper started here in Belgium!
ReplyDeleteI do like the coffee drinking dragon River. I am pleased you mentioned the conference because I had forgotten about where I will be next sunday. thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteJientje; welcome to drifting. Thanks for dropping in.
ReplyDeleteKim; You forgot where you are going to be?
FORGOT??? I suppose the excitement of the new studio is keeping your mind busy.
What a great selection of pictures!
ReplyDeleteI like the ice cream question mark - I take pics like that, too. One day I'll find a few and post those as my Sunday Selections. I keep meaning to, but I can never find more than one at a time! I should make a folder.
Jay; yes! Make a folder.
ReplyDeleteYum, I love gingerbread! I was going to make some yesterday, but opted for a spiced applesauce cake instead.
