Musical Monday # 80

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is:   probably a surprise..   :)

Bob Marley:

One Love

and the lyrics?

yes, the lyrics! Bob Marley: One Love

  1. Dreads always look so uncomfortable to me. How do you sleep on them?
    Love his smile though.

  2. This will get us off on the right footing for the last week of the year...let's hope it's a good omen for the year ahead.

Let's hope the song rings out loud and clear throughout the lands, and the whole world gets together with one purpose in mind...to live harmoniously....no more hate...no more fighting...no more killing...

Yeah, well...I've always been a dreamer...

  4. Love Bob. I heard or read an interesting story about or by his London wife or girlfriend. His biography might be an interesting read.

  5. Elephant's Child; being hair I suppose the dreads just squash down, or you get used to it like women years ago who used to sleep in curlers. He did have a great smile.

Lee; nothing wrong with being a dreamer, I'm that way myself. I always dream of everyone getting along, living in harmony. So much nicer than wars, more peaceful too.

fishducky; me too, and I miss hearing the reggae music the Jamaicans used to play in the flat across the road, they moved out a couple of years ago :(

Andrew; now I have to read his biography. Online? or a book from the library?

  6. Have no knowledge of his music and probably wouldn't have appealed. I think the words of the music excellent as we do need to try and love each other regardless of who we are, what we believe in etc.
I too was thinking about dreadlocks (as was EC). How on earth do they wash them properly?

  7. Hi River,

The reggae man himself, Bob Marley. Love his music and still have his very last album in my collection.

I should also mention that Jacob Marley was not related to Bob Marley :)
